All the basslines on the cd "MAYH" were played by Mikael Åkerfeldt himself for one simple

reason - Martin Mendez was newly recruited and didn't have the time to learn all the songs

so M. Åkerfeldt took things in his own hands instead. This resulted in some differences

when it came to the bassparts for this cd.

1. Mikael played all the bassparts with a pick
2. He used a Westone 5-string(the B-string is quite inactive for most of the record)
3. The bass is very low in the mix, so it's not easy to hear what's going on. But this

should be at least 95% accurate, I have doublechecked it a thousand times... :)

Remember: Play this song with a pick, important if you want the real "April

Ethereal"-sound! :p   Enjoy!
