Tab for Weeping Willow (Urban Hymns, Track8).
Tabbed by Simon McCarthy This, in my opinion is the best track on Urban Hymns.
The guitar parts are just phenomenal and the structure is perfect. The lead guitar is
overdubbed 8 times making it almost impossible to work out the song, but this is the
live version. I recommend lots of room reverb and feedback, plenty of delay, sustain,
compression and overdrive. The rhythm guitar plays the chords with lots of distortion,
there is even an acoustic hidden deep within the song-
Tuning: Standard
Scale: A mixture between the A and B bluescale is used
Capo: None
Guitar: Les Paul Standard, Rhythm guitar is a Fender Strat
Effects: Boss Compressor, Marshall Drivemaster, Alesis Quadraverb,Roland GP8,Jim Dunlop Crybaby.
Chords:
Em7= 022033

After this go back to the verse chords (With wah)

there is no time for cracking up
believe me friend (Use some sliding here)
'cause when freedom comes
I'll be long goneyou know it has to end
repeat Bridge (without wah). This time play this riff for the 'save me' part-With wah
e--------------------------
b--------------------------
g--------3h5b7------------
d----3h5------------------
a--/5 ---------------------
e--------------------------
Then repeat the chorus a before and end the song with the verse chords using an intense
wah sound and feedback with slides.
